► FANE-MATH-PE Project, by CNRS.

As part of its Multiannual Plan for Collaboration with Africa launched in 2022, the CNRS continues to strengthen its engagement with the African continent by supporting co-designed projects aimed at reinforcing scientific cooperation. This year, eight new innovative projects, spanning a wide range of disciplines and co-led with institutions from eight African countries, have been selected. Among them is the mathematics project FANE-MATH-PE, led by researcher Sophie Dabo. Link.

► A globe-trotter, by Clémence Dellenbach.

She moves through science the way others move through the world, carrying ideas, methods, and human connections across borders and disciplines. Her research is rooted in collaboration and exchange, bringing together applied mathematics, epidemiology, dynamical systems and health data. Shaped by long-standing international partnerships, particularly in Africa, her work reflects a vision of science that is collective, connected and deeply alive. Link.

► Deploying Statistics in Infinite Spaces, by Inria.

For over twenty years, Sophie Dabo has developed statistical methods for analyzing complex data through functional data analysis, bridging theory and applications, particularly in health. Trained in Senegal and France, her work spans environmental and spatial data, cancer research and patient trajectories, combining rigorous mathematics with real-world data. She is deeply committed to interdisciplinary and international collaboration, especially with African institutions and to promoting gender equity in mathematics. Link.
